Trigeneration CHP

Trigeneration, also known as Combined Cooling Heat and Power (CCHP), is created by capturing wasted heat from a CHP. The system simultaneously produces electricity, heat and cooling from a single energy source (CHP). CCHP is often used in buildings with high energy demands such as hospitals, hotels and data centres.

By using an absorption chiller, this captures the wasted heat and produces chilled water, this can then be used for air conditioning and refrigeration. This is more efficient than traditional methods as the wasted heat would otherwise be lost.

Whether a single CHP / CCHP unit or a turnkey power generating facility, our ground-up expertise covers every part of the installation process – from building design, fabrication, welding, electrical expertise, controls capability, equipment compliance and on-site commissioning.

As an independent business, we’re not tied to any one manufacturer. We have the ability to source, specify and instal the right engine, rather than offer a ‘one size fits all’ solution. Through our supplier network, we can also offer approved used or reconditioned equipment to minimise costs and maximise ROI.

With nearly 20 years’ experience in project planning, assessment, specification and installation of CHP equipment, CooperÖstlund works in close partnership with each of its clients to advise on the best solution.
